The Group

BIPADE AFRICA is a pan-African multidisciplinary consulting and development company, founded in March 2011 in Niamey. From an architecture firm, it has grown into an organisation structured around business divisions, able to support a project from design through financing to delivery.

A model built on expertise divisions

BIPADE AFRICA’s organisation rests on a model structured around business expertise divisions, supported by a Support & Performance Directorate and supervised by a Strategic Council and Steering Committee.

This is not a cosmetic choice. It answers a requirement of international lenders: being able to identify, for every deliverable, the responsible entity, the procedure applied and the person who verified it. The group operates 34 formalised procedures and 51 document templates covering the entire chain, from origination to close-out.

Note. The divisions presented above are internal entities of BIPADE AFRICA: they are not legally separate companies. The legal status of each local presence is determined by its local registration.

A collaboration flow across divisions

Projects follow a cross-division collaboration flow. A project may be originated for financial structuring, designed by conceptual design, technically validated by engineering, then delivered under supervision.

Responsibility for the project rests with the “lead” division, designated by Executive Management at contract signature. The client therefore keeps a single point of contact, however many disciplines are mobilised.

Governance

Our internal governance rests on a solid structure guaranteeing financial transparency and ethics, aligned with international lenders’ standards. A Risk & Compliance function (RCIC) ensures risk control, while our processes embed IFIs’ ESG and fiduciary requirements from the outset.
